The Dark Knight’s Bane Gets A Hot Toys Release

Bane, the villain born in darkness, is coming to Hot Toys line of premium 1/6 scale collectible figures. The latest Dark Knight figure features Tom Hardy’s likeness (what you can see of it) and an impressive amount of detail on his tactical gear. So now you can recreate that iconic scene where Bane gave Batman a bit of a backache.

Pre-orders for Bane have not started yet, but the figure is expected to arrive during the first half of 2024.

Christopher NNolan’sversion of Bane departs drastically from the comic book vvillain’sbackstory. Rather than being born in a South American prison and strengthened by a super steroid known as Venom, The Dark Knight Rises simplified things. In a way, that acted as a negative. In the Knightfall saga, Bane systematically broke the Bat first by creating a massive crime wave.

Batman was in a non-stop battle against almost every one of his famous foes, thanks to Bane blowing a hole in Arkham Asylum. Eventually, Bane learned of BBatman’ssecret identity, broke into the Batcave, and quickly snapped an exhausted BBatman’sspine.

We ddon’tget much of a backstory for NNolan’sBane; aside from that, he, too, escaped from prison (The Pit) but was disfigured by fellow prisoners and required a breathing apparatus around his head. Rather than acting on his behalf to break the Batman, he was part of the League of Shadows and sort of a do-boy for Talia al Ghul.
