Showtime’s Dexter Returns to TV and The Action Figure Market

Sometimes you just have to cut people up and dump their bodies just off the coast of Miami. I’m a Floridian. It’s almost second nature. But, sadly, not all of us can get away with it … why are there sirens outside my front door?
Well, look who showed up out of nowhere just in time for his return to Showtime. Of course, it’s everyone’s favorite charismatic killer, Dexter Morgan.
Dexter is getting a new figure in classic 3.75″ form. He is an SDCC Entertainment Earth exclusive. Mr. Morgan comes with a few accessories, including a fabric apron and an enamel pin. He will be silently entering your homes this August.

Dexter action figures are back, just in time for the long-awaited return of Dexter in 2021 on Showtime. This Series 2 “Dark Passenger” version of Dexter Morgan presents the forensic technician / serial killer dressed in army green, with a removable black fabric apron. An extremely limited edition of only 304 individually numbered pieces, Dexter stands about 3 3/4-inches tall and comes with a badge/lanyard. Plus, accessories exclusive to this figure include a rope, a 6-inch x 6-inch sheet of plastic, and a 2-inch wide x 1-inch tall enamel pin featuring the show’s logo!

The forensic analyst who moonlights as a vigilante serial killer had a less than acceptable season finale in 2013 after eight seasons. We found out Dexter was still alive while boating directly into a hurricane. Did he float atop his dead sister’s body to shore?
Not only will there be a new figure, but the show is being resurrected as well to give the character a proper send-off.

Michael C. Hall did deserve a better conclusion after turning in a great performance for most of those eight seasons. What we know is that Dexter has a new light and new identity. He is trying to keep his tendencies under control, but you know it is only a matter of time before the Dark Passenger has to be unleashed.
Dexter: New Blood will premiere on November 7th at 9 PM ET/PT on Showtime.
What are your thoughts on Dexter’s return after a seven-year absence? Any worries? Will we get called man-babies and entitled if the series fails us? Let us know in the comments.
