Hasbro Reveals New and Retro ‘Indiana Jones’ Figures!

Hasbro

As you’d expect, the first set of Hasbro figures is based on Raiders of the Lost Arc. Hasbro is taking pre-orders for Indiana Jones, Major Arnold Toht, and Retro Indy. These four items are estimated to ship out by April 10th, 2023. Hasbro plans on releasing six figures in total as part of this 6″ series. As soon as Marion, Sallah, and Belloq are available, we’ll post a new article with more info! As with many Hasbro action figure series, there’s a “build-a-figure” gimmick here. Indy looks to be the only character in this first wave to contain parts of the Ark of the Covenant. The remaining three characters in the set must have the other parts. I hope Belloq comes with alternate heads for himself and Toht. No melty face? I ain’t buying.

Hasbro

As I mentioned earlier, this series continues Hasbro’s trend of not letting us see what’s inside the box. This diminishes our displaying possibilities and causes us to break the package open just to ensure we either got the right figure or that it isn’t broken. I hate this trend.

At least the Retro Indy figure comes on a blister card, just like the original. It’s a faithful recreation of the Kenner 3.75″ figure, and Indy retains his action feature. Thankfully, Hasbro isn’t pricing this thing to an outrageous degree. Retro Jones will ruin you $14.99, and he’ll swing into action on April 10th.

Lastly, Hasbro is giving us one prop replica. I’d not Indy’s hat, whip, or fertility idol. Nope. It’s a light-up replica of the headpiece from the Staff of Ra. It does come with a cool Raiders-inspired stand. However, for $50.99, you can get a metallic replica of the same prop at other retailers. This, too, will be out on April 10th.
