As previously reported by DRezzed, Chris Pratt, who also serves as a co-executive producer, used his large Instagram presence to promote the film by showing the inspiration for the aliens featured in ‘The Tomorrow War.’
“The watermark for terrifying aliens in cinema is set by the Xenomorph in Aliens and the Predator itself,” he wrote at the time. “Get ready for a creature we truly believe sets a new bar. The biggest, baddest alien of them all, the (Whitespike.) We are food. And they are hungry.”
The official synopsis explains that “Time travelers arrive from 2051 to deliver an urgent message: 30 years in the future mankind is losing a war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight. Determined to save the world for his daughter, Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) to rewrite the planet’s fate.”
