Following ‘The Tomorrow War’ Release, Chris Pratt Thanks Fans

Chris Pratt took to social media to wish everyone a happy Fourth of July, but also to thank the fans for watching ‘The Tomorrow War,’ saying that the movie broke streaming records on Amazon Prime.
The ‘Passaengers’ actor wrote on Instagram, “CONGRATULATIONS! YOU DID IT! You have made (The Tomorrow War) a HOME RUN win! Happy 4th of July!!”
“Thank YOU to everyone who watched The Tomorrow War this weekend. The first 48 hours of global viewing for The Tomorrow War on Prime Video broke all the records,” he said. “(Number one) streaming film in the world!! And we could not have done that without each and everyone of you. Thank you all for joining us on this adventure! Happy 4th!!”
The post was accompanied by a video where Pratt repeated his thanks to the audience.

The movie has received mixed reviews from critics, but Rotten Tomatoes shows that general audiences enjoyed the movie a great deal.
As previously reported by DRezzed, Chris Pratt, who also serves as a co-executive producer, used his large Instagram presence to promote the film by showing the inspiration for the aliens featured in ‘The Tomorrow War.’
“The watermark for terrifying aliens in cinema is set by the Xenomorph in Aliens and the Predator itself,” he wrote at the time. “Get ready for a creature we truly believe sets a new bar. The biggest, baddest alien of them all, the (Whitespike.) We are food. And they are hungry.”
The official synopsis explains that “Time travelers arrive from 2051 to deliver an urgent message: 30 years in the future mankind is losing a war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight. Determined to save the world for his daughter, Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) to rewrite the planet’s fate.”
