Arcade1Up’s Countercades Now Feature Simultaneous Two-Player Action!

Get ready to empty your wallets because Arcade1Up is expanding their Countercade line by adding two-player titles to the mix! That’s right, coming this October, you’ll be able to play some of the greatest multi-player arcade games in Countercade form!
Priced at $229, Arcade1Up offers four titles that had previously been available via their scaled-down arcade cabinet setup. Unlike the larger version, however, these Countercades will not include any kind of wifi/internet multi-player functionality.
These two-player Countercades include the following titles:

The Countercades appear to share all the same dimensions but varying button layouts depending on the title. It’s hard to tell yet just how comfortable it would be to play side by side. If we can get our hands on a review model of one, we’ll let you know.
Specs:

  • 8″ Color LCD screen
  • Adjustable Variable Volume
  • No Assembly Required
  • Box dimensions : 18.50 D x 14.57 W x 20.08 H
  • Assembled Dimensions: 16.54 D x 11.81” W x 15.75” H
  • Weight: 17.54 lbs

Grab a friend, step up to the counter, and it’s game on. Arcade1Up’s new 2 PLAYER Countercades are here!
Amazing additions to your home bar, office, dorm room or anywhere else you’d want to squeeze in some retro gaming, Arcade1Up’s Countercades are compact in size, but tremendous in fun.

My wishlist for future Countercades in this style would include X-Men Children of the Atom, Turtles in Time, and Rampage. Given Arcade1Up’s habit of releasing everything and anything, we’re sure to see lots more of these two-player rigs hit the market over the next twelve months.
What arcade titles would you like to see become Countercades? Let us know in the comments.
