Sonic 3 Beat Disney Because They LISTENED to Fans.

Disney (especially Lucasfilm) could learn a thing or two from how director Jeff Fowler turned the first Sonic trailer from an internet laughingstock into a box office powerhouse.

Disney’s approach to franchises like Star Wars has run them into the ground, while Paramount’s Sonic movies have thrived by listening to fans.

Sega told Paramount that a live-action Sonic movie wouldn’t work, but Paramount proceeded anyway, resulting in an initially awful film similar to Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is expected to be Paramount’s highest-grossing release in 2024, outperforming Disney’s Mufasa and Star Wars films.
