‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is heading to theaters in March 2023 with actor Keanu Reeves returning as the titular hero, albeit with nine fingers. This will not be the only time he returns, the franchise is getting a spin-off movie titled ‘Ballerina.’
Collider reports that “Keanu Reeves is currently in Prague and set to reprise his role as John Wick in the John Wick spinoff film starring Ana de Armas. This exciting report comes on the heels of the announcement that the Ballerina film will also see Ian McShane return to the franchise as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel. It is not yet clear if Reeves’ reprisal will be a cameo, or if he will have a larger part in the overarching plot of Ballerina.”
‘Ballerina’ is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten with ‘John Wick’ creator Chad Stahelski acting as a producer on the film. Stahelski directed the first three films and will return for a fourth.
The film is being made by Thunder Road Films and will be distributed by Lionsgate with pre-production beginning in Prague.
Initially, Unity Phelan was set to reprise her role from ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ as the “Ballerina,” but she had to depart filming and was replaced by ‘Blonde’ star Ana de Armas.
Reeves expressed his excitement for the John Wick franchise in an interview with Esquire.
“There’s a sequence—hopefully, knock on wood,” he said. “… in John Wick 4, the opening sequence. John Wick is back in the desert on a horse. I’m going to hopefully be able to fast-gallop and run.”
“I love John Wick movies! They’re fun,” he added, describing going to see the movie with an audience. “I wanted to be with an audience, because I didn’t know if I would get to see it again, or if another one would happen. I wanted to soak it in, to see it on the big screen—these movies are made for the big screen. We got popcorn—you gotta have popcorn. Some Peanut M&M’s. Sweet and savory. Coca-Cola.”
‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is written by Michael Finch and Shay Hatten.
‘Minimata’ star Johnny Depp raised eyebrows in a short appearance at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 where the actor struts through the woods to show off one of the fashion pieces.
Entertainment Weekly reports, “The actor appears approximately 20 minutes into the show, which premiered on Prime Video this week. He emerges from behind a tree, wearing a long, loose-fitting jacket with matching dark pants. He grins to the camera with an array of necklaces draped over his checkered V-neck sweater to the sound of Outkast’s 2001 single ‘So Fresh, So Clean.'”
“Depp’s spotlight lasts for about 40 seconds as he proceeds to walk through an assemblage of dancers. However, it did not go unnoticed by the masses,” they added.
You can watch the clip of the appearance below:
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star previously had a cameo at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards as the astronaut saying, “You know what? I needed the work.”
Amazon Studios describes the event as follows,
“A seductive fashion fever dream, this year’s show blends Emmy award-winning choreography, style, and music with the hypnotic essence of nocturnal nature. The trailblazing event features performances by global musical artists Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell, and special appearances from Ángela Aguilar, Avani Gregg, Bella Poarch, Cara Delevingne, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Kornbread, Lara Stone, Lilly Singh, Marsai Martin, Precious Lee, Rickey Thompson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Simu Liu, Taraji P. Henson, Taylour Paige, Winston Duke, Zach Miko, and many more, all wearing the newest Savage X Fenty looks…”
Both Johnny Depp and Rihanna were involved in high-profile court cases where they alleged they were victims of domestic violence by former partners.
Rihanna launched the Savage X Fenty Show in 2018 with the first Savage X Fenty Show took place at New York Fashion Week. The first television special premiered on September 20, 2019, with Volume 2.
Possibly the best figure in this line, aside from Wonder Man, is Yelena Belova’s Black Widow. Not only does the figure look cool, but she comes with many accessories, including multiple firearms, effects parts, a belt, and a gun holster. Molecule Man is the lamest figure in the bunch because the character’s face has no expression whatsoever. He’s just looking at you. At least Wonder Man has his usual smirk, and Strucker is gritting his teeth. Come on, Hasbro. If these figures will be bare-bones, at least give them some personality.
The odd one out in this announcement is Extremis Iron Man. He does not include a build-a-figure part and is super lite on accessories, yet he is still priced at $24.99. Expect these figures to ship out by June 1st, 2023.
So, what’s the build-a-figure this time? Puff Adder. I’d totally forgotten about this serpent-themed villainous mutant. He’s a no-frills figure, with a standard buck where the only genuinely original part is his head sculpt.
Again, Hasbro is forcing collectors to buy into the idea that windowless boxes are somehow a good thing. Not only does it limit the display possibilities, but it’s impossible to guarantee that the figure is not only MIB but if it’s even the right character, to begin with. Furthermore, the Legends’ price is steady at $24.99, and I doubt we will see it come down any time soon. So even with less plastic and the noticeable dip in quality over the past two years, we’re continuing to pay a premium to Hasbro.

In collaboration with developer Gearbox Software, we present to you the Wonderlands Minis! Based on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, go on epic adventures with your favorite in-game characters. Whether you shake your booty like Mushroom, snap like a Mimic, derp out like Skeep, glam-up like Butt Stallion, or be in total control like Tina – bring the world of the Wonderlands into your homes with these mini-figures.
I liked Tiny Tina’s character in Borderlands 2, but she started to wear out her welcome by the third game. The whole Harley Quinn gimmick can only last so long when the character’s sole purpose is to be quirky. There were fragments of a deeper story to tell with Tina as she dealt with the death of Roland, but by the time Borderlands 3 rolled around, it was back to Tina being a nonsensical quip machine.
Check out the review for GmanLives if you’ve been thinking about picking up the standalone game:

You will have a difficult time finding a game character that looks as cute and cuddly as Nintendo’s beloved pink puffball Kirby. One of the best parts of a Kirby game is how easygoing it can feel to play through, despite having some challenges present to keep you on your toes. This is exactly what you find in Kirby and the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch. Only this time, Kirby is taken out of Dream Land and into a world that looks reminiscent of our own. But whether in a fantasy world or a real one, the charming nature of Kirby is felt throughout the entire experience, and it’s fantastic.
The biggest difference for this Kirby adventure is how the gameplay is taken into 3D space. While not the first time we’ve had a Kirby title play like this, it’s the first we’ve seen done on a home console in a long time. Moving Kirby around feels good and echoes the simple controls of the 2D-style games we’ve had in the series up to now. Kirby’s ability to suck up enemies and copy their powers is here too, allowing you to wield all types of magical powers and abilities to get around obstacles and groups of baddies. It’s easy to understand, quick to pick up, and fun to really get into throughout the course of this adventure.
At the same time, the plot of this game has Kirby pulled out of Dream Land and lost in a place called New World. In truth, the name of this place is as silly as it is obvious, but that is neither here nor there. Both Kirby and the Waddle Dee army are stranded in New World and hunted by a new enemy called the Beast Pack. These are furry critters that reside in New World, kidnapping the Waddle Dees for a mysterious purpose.
As usual, Kirby characters always have a cutesy charm and goofy demeanor to them, so while the Beast Pack isn’t intimidating, they do fit well with the status quo of any Kirby game. Enemies you encounter later in the game get progressively more sinister, but the cuteness is still always there.
Kirby needs to rescue all of the Waddle Dees hidden throughout New World, which in turn can help him build up the Waddle Dee town that’s been set up as a refuge. This town acts as the hub of the game, which allows you to do a variety of things. You can power up Kirby’s copy abilities, unlock collectibles to marvel at, and even partake in challenges at the arena. The catch however is that you can’t do many things until you rescue enough Waddle Dees to build up the town more. Doing so will unlock new locations to visit in the town, but also progress the plot in ways that become more clear as you finish stages.
Speaking of stages, there are a lot of locations you’ll visit, and even more Waddles Dees to rescue. Finishing challenges as you progress to the end of a stage, as well as completing boss battles and discovering secrets, will help you obtain more and more Waddle Dees. There’s a wide range of areas from forests, beaches, and industrial locations, to much more cosmic places that appear as the plot thickens. But getting around isn’t simply jumping and running through the game’s open environments.
Kirby can now use Mouthful Mode to suck up objects and gain abilities that can change up parts of the environment, or increase his powers to battle enemies. Sucking up a car can let Kirby drive around with great speed while using a traffic cone will allow him to smash open something to reveal hidden secrets on the stage.
There are a number of powers that all have their unique applications, although it can get to a point where they only appear conveniently when the stage obstacles require it. You won’t be roaming around with cone-head Kirby the entire time, unfortunately. But the later portions of the game start to blend together the use of mouthful mode transformations into clever and interesting obstacles. That’s when they’re used at their best and make traversing the stages much more fun.
A few other neat features that round off Kirby and the Forgotten Land include the mini-games you unlock in the Waddle Dee Town, as well as local co-op. A second player can take control of Bandana Waddle Dee at any time, dropping in and out of gameplay, to help Kirby get through a stage. Having a second person can make certain challenges easier, especially boss battles. Both players can work together in bringing down groups of enemies with their abilities, even though Bandana Waddle Dee can’t use copy abilities or Mouthful Mode.
The game also doesn’t make anything more difficult when you bring in another player, so things may be too easy in some cases. But it’s a lot of fun running around the open areas with Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee. The small interactions that the two have together outside of cutscenes are exceptionally cute at the best of times.
The mini-games are short and sweet. You’ll spend only a brief time completing them to reach new high scores to share online. The one exception to this is the Challenge Arena, which lets you replay boss fights from the main story and take on newer, tougher challenge battles.
To get the complete true ending, you’ll need to finish all the Arena battles, but the reward may not be worth the struggle for some players. The final stretch of challenges can be endurance battles that push you to the limit against multiple boss encounters. It’s not impossible, but definitely a lot more of a challenge than the rest of the game.
Small nitpicks aside, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great addition to any Nintendo Switch collection. The game is fun to play, either alone or with a co-op friend, and has a lot of content to get through. For a new kind of adventure for Nintendo’s pink puffball, this is a solid addition to the Kirby legacy for long-time fans. It’s quite possibly one of the best, if not cutest, Nintendo Switch games you can pick up.

They also revealed the box art for the DVD release:
It has a planned release date of November 29th, 2022.
Ghibli Wiki said of the series, “The series was a joint project between Japan’s Tokyo Movie Shinsha and the Italian public broadcasting corporation RAI and its production arm REVER. It came at a time when Tokyo Movie Shinsha was having difficulty producing a TV series for the domestic Japanese market, and were trying to find ways create content for the overseas market. They tried to recoup production cost by selling the rights to Holmes to the three major networks in the United States. Telecom Animation became in charge of animation production.”
Right Stuf Anime describes the synopsis as follows,
“Professor Moriarty’s devious criminal mind can overcome any challenge, be it counterfeiting coins or swiping precious gems… except when Sherlock Hound is on the case! Together with Doctor Watson, Mrs. Hudson, and Inspector Lestrade, Hound must sniff out Moriarty’s schemes while facing down steam engines and other strange inventions. How will they crack the case? Elementary, my dear viewer! They’ll just have to rely on Hound’s deductive reasoning and a little bit of luck to get them through everything the Professor throws at them! Acclaimed writer-director Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) along with seasoned pro Kyosuke Mikuriya (LUPIN THE 3rd, Ulysses 31) bring a world of dogs and detectives to life with unique vision and meticulous quality. Colorful, heartwarming, and fun, this timeless classic is a doggone good time for anyone, young or old! The game is afoot!”
‘Sherlock Hound’ was directed by Kyosuke Mikuriya and Studio Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki, who also heavily influenced the animation style.

The first two Splatoon games had a fun blend of single-player mode goodness and online multiplayer madness. And while not a lot has changed since those first two runs with the squid kids, Splatoon 3 still provides a fun experience that builds upon what was previously great. Although a bit of repetitiveness can be felt playing through both the campaign and online modes, none of it is executed in a mediocre fashion. More Splatoon isn’t a bad thing, nor should it feel like it.
The story of the game mostly takes place in the underground city of Alterna, where key events have taken place and covered the entire area in a fuzzy substance. Players are tasked by Craig Cuttlefish to explore the area and battle the Octarians roaming the area, with hopes of uncovering the truth of what happened. Interestingly enough, a lot of familiar faces from the first two games make an appearance and impact the plot in ways that long-time fans will find interesting. If you’ve been following the lore of Splatoon since the beginning, you’ll have a lot of interesting developments that further build up the universe. Although everyone else who never resonated with the story of Splatoon won’t find much to convince them to become more interested.
But just because the story won’t be for everyone, that doesn’t mean playing the campaign missions are any less fun. Once you go down the drain from the city, Alterna is a vast area to explore. Completing missions rewards you with squid eggs to spend on opening new areas and pipes to entirely new sections of Alterna. Being able to go to different areas at any time within a given section give players some freedom to move around at their leisure while completing missions. You can even cover the ground in paint, which rewards you with experience for skill points towards new skills.
Speaking of which, the skill tree for your character is just ok. It’s not a deep progression system but does require you to find extra items and gather skill points to obtain better passive abilities. You do this by completing missions, finding items hidden within Alterna, and gaining bits of experience from splatting the area in paint. Are the abilities worth the work? Not entirely, mostly because you won’t feel their effects until you open up much of the skill tree. You can go for a long time without unlocking skills and feel like not much has changed with your overall abilities. They do help eventually, but it doesn’t feel like it immediately upon unlocking parts of the skill tree.
Missions are pretty straightforward and very similar to the previous Splatoon games. You’ll dive into a drain and be dropped into a new area where you’ll have to accomplish a goal. This can be reaching a certain area or finding something specific, sometimes with certain criteria. This also includes boss battles, which are more of a highlight due to how unique each boss encounter will be. However, you’ll get to choose what weapon you wield in some missions, which can open up replayability for more rewards. Things will definitely get repetitive at some point, especially when you’re replaying missions for extra rewards to gather enough to open new sections of Alterna.
Does this alone make Splatoon 3 worth diving into? Probably not… but luckily for everyone the multiplayer provides a lot more game time. If you’ve played the online multiplayer modes of the previous games, then you’ll know what to expect here. Not much is different, but it’s no less fun in comparison. New maps to dive into, more weapons to use against enemy teams, and lots of paint to throw around with everyone online.
Matches include regular Turf War matches and Clam Blitz, which include covering the area with paint and gathering golden clams more than the enemy team. Online these matches can be done with Regular or Competitive matches, which will change up the pool of players you get matched with.
Are the online modes balanced enough to keep you coming back for more? Yes, but you’ll need to play a lot of matches to open up more weapons to switch between when you want variety in your games. Those that put in a lot of time will unlock plenty of gear and weapons to give themselves a great loadout that will give them an edge over others.
It can be a little frustrating facing other players who clearly have put in more time online, but the matchmaking is pretty good at pairing up everyone with similar skill levels overall. How much you get out of the online multiplayer will mostly depend on personal enjoyment with online modes, which will be different for everyone. But if you stick with it, there’s an endless amount of games to enjoy here.
And yet there’s more within Splatoon 3 that will keep players busy. The Salmon Run is a PVE mode that allows everyone to team up and take out groups of enemies together. Tougher enemies attack in waves as players gathers golden eggs along the way, with pretty vicious baddies showing up every now and then.
Different events within the mode will keep things feeling fresh as the team works together against each new challenge. It’s a fun mode to try out with friends if you want to get away from online competitive multiplayer.
The biggest thing that can be said about Splatoon 3 is that it doesn’t change the core formula from the previous games. It gives everyone more of the same gameplay that worked out great but manages to add in a few extra things that feel new. The repetitiveness of missions and what you do is still there but isn’t a bother enough to ruin the whole package Splatoon 3 offers players. Not only is everything fun to engage with but a lot of fun to come back to multiple times, especially if you enjoy playing with others.

Tokyo SOS’s Godzilla had my favorite King of the Monsters design. The movie itself, not so much. It was one of those Toho films that threw everything at the wall, like modern-day comic book movies. It’s full of classic Godzilla monsters and other characters. There was a bit of a budget issue, but the special effects crew pulled off some shots. Sadly, the film does reuse destruction footage from other movies.
