Netflix’s woes continue. After posting a $17 BILLION loss in value and losing 130,000 subscribers in Q2, the internet is butthurt that they cancelled the adult animated series ‘Tuca & Bertie’ after just one season, while renewing ‘Big Mouth.’ This sudden cancellation calls into question how Netflix decides if a show is successful or not, as not even Netflix seems to understand how its own algorithm and promotional engine works. Could this, coupled with Netflix’s promise to cut costs, mean that the future of expensive animated series are in danger…?
