China’s plan to ban all Hollywood movies in retaliation to US tariffs could cost blockbusters like Jurassic World Rebirth and Mission Impossible up to half a billion dollars in the Chinese market.
The US’s 104% tariff on China is seen as an extreme measure that should have been rolled out gradually instead of escalating to the current situation.
The Chinese Commerce Ministry’s call for dialogue and mutual respect is deemed ironic given China’s history of tariffing the US for years.
