Thanks to NECA’s next wave of Gremlins action figures, Gizmo, Lenny, George, Mohawk, and Daffy are back. Most of this batch includes retuning mogqais from Gremlins 2: The New Batch, but there is an additional little furball who stands out.
Punk Mogwai is an exciting look fellow. He even has a nose ring to go along with his unique fur pattern and dual mohawks. He doesn’t have a safety pin in his ear or any anti-establishment buttons, though—kind of a missed opportunity. But, Punky here does come with packaging that matches his interests.
The mischievous little creatures will be available starting March 2022. I’ve spotted them up for pre-order at the Big Bad Toy Store. The entire set is going for $104.99, while they can be purchased individually for $17.99 a pop.
NECA is bringing back some fan favorites long out of production plus adding a brand-new character. This fully poseable action figure assortment includes Gizmo, Mohawk, George, Lenny, and Daffy, plus the new Punk Mogwai (Commercial Appearance). Each figure features ball-jointed ears, necks, shoulders, forearms, wrists, hips, and fully movable eyes. A small ball carefully concealed on the back of the head allows you to move the pupils in all directions to create many different looks and expressions for your figures. Figures stand approximately 4″ tall (in scale with 7″ figures).
To celebrate the return of these mischievous creatures, the packaging has been updated to pay tribute to the classic trading cards.
Could we please get a heavy metal mogwai next? I’m talking hardcore. Like Cradle of Filth levels of metal. Just an abyss black mogwai with a skull outline on his face and maybe some blood-red streaks in the fur. Something that would get the uptight parents sending angry e-mails.
I miss when the offended people were just moms with too much time on their hands and not literally everyone in the world.
