The slice-of-life romantic comedy anime ‘The Dangers in My Heart’ was announced by the Japanese animation studio Shin-Ei Animation for release in April 2023. At the 2022 Anime NY convention Sentai Filmworks announced that they had acquired the license to release in the United States, but recently unveiled they will debut it on the HiDive streaming service.
“We know what you’re thinking, but rest assured this is no April Fools’ joke; we would never play with your heart like that,” HiDive said on their website, adding it will stream on April 1st.

Directed by Hiroaki Akagi, the anime is written by Jukki Hanada, character designs are being done by Masato Katsumata, and Kensuke Ushio is on board as the composer.

Wikipedia describes the synopsis as follows,
“Kyotaro Ichikawa is a disgruntled loner student who fantasizes about murdering his popular classmates, often reading a murder encyclopedia and learning about human anatomy, with the class idol, Anna Yamada, being his prime target. However, when he observes that Anna is rather quirky in her own way, and when she becomes increasingly friendly towards Kyotaro, he gradually warms up to her and they start to become closer.”
The anime is based on a 2018 manga series created by Norio Sakurai and released by the Japanese publisher Akita Shoten who serializes it in their ‘Manga Cross’ magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment releases it in North America.
