Pirate Santa and Jack Frost Join The Naughty or Nice Toy Line
The last time we checked in on Fresh Monkey Fiction’s Naughty or Nice toy line, the company took pre-orders for the Artist’s Proof Santa. While browsing the Big Bad Toy Store, I came across two new Santa action figures and Jack Frost!
Previously we’d covered Santa variants like Cyborg Santa and Robo Santa. Now we finally get Pirate Santa! Complete with a candy cane hook and peg-leg, this guy maybe the best of the line. OK, I may be biased because I come from Tampa, the home of the Bucs.
Aside from Pirate Claus, there is also a more traditional Chris Cringle called Jolly Santa. This version of Father Christmas comes with a new head sculpt with a different bear, glasses, and a darker skin tone. He also has a few unique accessories like a pipe and bell.
The third figure is another elf with a frosty blue color scheme. Add that to the character, and you’ve got Jack Frost. Jack comes with the same alternate heads that the other elves have, but they too are molded in what looks like translucent blue plastic. It may just be solid blue plastic. Hard to tell from the images.
- Treasure map
- Stocking
- Present
- 3 Gold nuggets
- Hand bell
- Cutlass
- 7 Interchangeable hands
- Santa’s present bag

- Naughty or Nice list
- Milk and Cookies
- Gloved hands
- Christmas Bell
- Hand with pipe
- Christmas Present

- 3 Head sculpts
- Candy cane
- Present
Pirate Santa is $49.99, and Jolly Santa is priced lower at $36.99. Since Jack Frost is a more petite figure, he will only run you $19.99. All of the figures in this line are slated for release during the fourth quarter of 2022.
Remember that these are somewhat crowdfunded because they’re made in small batches. So, if not enough orders for these are received, they may not be made. Check out Fresh Monkey Fiction’s website for more info.

Make ‘First Contact’ With The Borg Queen’s Skull Replica
The Borg Queen met with a rather sticky end during the conclusion of Star Trek First Contact. Though she tried to change the destiny of mankind by destroying our first successful moment of warp travel, her plans were foiled by Data. A quick dip in a cloud of toxic gas and the matriarch of the Collective was no more … for a little while.
What remained of the Borg Queen is now available as a highly detailed replica from Factory Entertainment. Constructed out of “polyurethane resin with an electroplated chrome finish,” this prop is something to behold. In addition, the prop is fitted with LED lighting to replicate the final moments of the Queen’s life in that body.
The amazing Alice Krige has signed each plaque for this limited edition prop. This isn’t some thousand pieces run; only 250 are being made. Factory Entertainment expects to ship these out by First Contact Day (April 5th) 2022.
Our Borg Queen Skull Signature Edition Replica has been copied directly from the surviving prop in the CBS archives to ensure accuracy.
The main body of the replica is cast from heavyweight polyurethane resin with an electroplated chrome finish. The replica is augmented by various plastic and rubber parts to match the original prop and features an articulated spinal cord. On screen the prop was presented as being heavily damaged by corrosive plasma, so each replica has been hand-weathered to lend a ‘battle damaged’ appearance.
What are your favorite Borg Queen moments? I like her sparing with Janeway, but Krige’s performance in Star Trek First Contact was special. Only the woman who made specters sexy in Ghost Story could make the Borg Collective look so alluring.

“After the apocalyptic events of THE DEATH OF DOCTOR STRANGE, there’s a new Sorcerer Supreme in residence at 177A Bleecker Street, and a new Doctor Strange—Clea Strange. And she’s got her work cut out for her—when she’s not fighting off the magical gangsters of the Blasphemy Syndicate, or battling undead super-monsters, she’s going after what’s hers: the late Stephen Strange. Clea is of the Faltine, that race of Warlords and conquerors, and like her relatives Dormammu and Umar, she will not be thwarted in her desires, not even by the mysterious Harvestman standing in her way,” McKay said of the issue.“It’s been really exciting to open up a new chapter in the world of Doctor (Clea) Strange, to get some new adventures going and some new weirdies on the table, and I can’t wait for folks to come along with us!”
The comic book will be released on March 2, 2022.

But ever since one fateful day, she is the only person aware of the invisible monsters walking freely among humans.
Courageously, Miko makes a bold decision: she will never, under any condition, acknowledge the presence of the horrid specters. However, even though she pretends they do not exist, she can still see how they disturb the people around her, especially her best friend, the energetic and lovely Hana Yurikawa. In order to protect them from the monsters’ annoyances, Miko gives it her best to continue her school life and avoid every troublesome crisis—even when they scare her to tears.”

Henry Cavill Is Down For A “Conversation” About Starring In A ‘Mass Effect’ Series
Aside from his prolific career in cinema, ‘Immortals’ actor Henry Cavill is also a proficient gamer of both tabletop and video games. He has mentioned some of his favorite games, including Warhammer, frequently during interviews.
During a conversation with GamesRadar, Henry Cavill praised the video game franchise ‘Mass Effect’ and said he would “love to have a conversation” about being in a series based on the property.
“Very much so, yeah, all depending on how they’re executing it,” he said. “The world of adaptation can be heavy or light. When I like a product, I prefer the adaptation to be less changed from the source, so it all depends.”
“I think it’s found a home, hasn’t it? If [the series] finds a home, I would love to have a conversation,” ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ actor added.
He also shared some insight on which games are his favorite in the franchise saying, “I did not play Andromeda – I had a go at it, but ended up being very busy. But [The Mass Effect Trilogy]? Yeah. Loved it. Brilliant games.” He said, “It would make such a magnificent series of movies or TV shows.”
Henry Cavill has made a name for himself through several fanbases. Comic book fans know him as Superman from ‘Man of Steel,’ ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ and ‘Justice League.’ Fans of espionage thrillers know him from ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ and Mission: ‘Impossible – Fallout.’ Gamers know him from ‘The Witcher,’ which has been renewed for a second season on Netflix.
‘Mass Effect’ was originally released in 2007 for Xbox 360, PC, and PS3. It was followed by several spin-offs, two sequels, and ‘Andromeda.’ The original trilogy was released as ‘Mass Effect Legendary Edition’ in 2021. While many feature film adaptions have labored in development limbo, an anime produced by Production I.G. titled ‘Mass Effect: Paragon Lost’ was released in 2012.
