Hiya Toys Offers A New Chance To Get Judge Anderson, Lawmaster

If you missed out on the previous release of Hiya Toys’ version of 2000 AD’s Judge Anderson, you’re in luck. The upcoming PX Previews Exclusive figure is a re-release of the PSI judge, and she’s also coming with a lawmaster! Over at the Big Bad Toy Store, you can pre-order the heroic psychic and her ride for $69.99.

From what I can tell, there’s no difference between this Anderson and the one we previously wrote about. The lawmaster is also identical to the one that appeared not too long ago. However, I wish that Hiya Toys would give us a class ’80s lawmaster – the bigger, beefier bike with the huge laser drill at the front. Regardless, I’ll take what they’re selling.

The 1/18″ scale (3.75″) tall figure will be available in May 2023. Many of the other figures can still be pre-ordered at the BBTS. These include all the evil Judges, Judge Cal, Judge Hershey, Mean Machine, and some black & white variants.

Who might be next in the 2000 AD universe to end up as a Hiya Toys figure? I’m hoping for Judge Hershey in the Chief Judge uniform. Maybe more of the Angel gang? We also need more army-builder villains like Rico, the fatties, zombies, or the Sisters of Death. Or, if the company wanted to get really wild, they’d give us versions of Dredd that may or may not be canon.

What would be even cooler is if Hiya Toys did the entire Cursed Earth line, which would be a rights nightmare. If you don’t recall this epic story from decades ago, Dredd goes deep into the Cursed Earth and finds things stranger than mutants. The Burger Wars are still raging on as an active war between Mcdonalds and Burger King. A mad scientist has created living versions of mid-20th Century company mascots like the Jolly Green Giant. It’s mayhem, but my god, it was a great read. Unfortunately, the series was so controversial that it got censored for a while due to all the companies shown in the arc. At least now you can get the whole story uncensored through Amazon.

In the bustling Ostanian city of Berlint, Twilight dons the alias of “Loid Forger,” an esteemed psychiatrist. However, his true intention is to gather intelligence on prominent politician Donovan Desmond, who only appears rarely in public at his sons’ school: the prestigious Eden Academy. Enlisting the help of unmarried city hall clerk Yor Briar to act as his wife and adopting the curious six-year-old orphan Anya as his daughter, Loid enacts his master plan. He will enroll Anya in Eden Academy, where Loid hopes she will excel and give him the opportunity to meet Donovan without arousing suspicion.

Unfortunately for Loid, even a man of his talents has trouble playing the figure of a loving father and husband. And just like Loid is hiding his true identity, Yor—who is an underground assassin known as “Thorn Princess”—and Anya—an esper who can read people’s minds—have no plans to disclose their own secrets either. Although this picture-perfect family is founded on deception, the Forgers gradually come to understand that the love they share for one another trumps all else.”
