New Star Wars Ahsoka Series TV Spot Features Anakin Skywalker

The excitement for the upcoming Disney Plus series Ahsoka is increasing exponentially. Star Wars fans are ready to see what will happen next in a galaxy far, far away during the time of The Mandalorian series. Only instead of getting Din Djarin and baby Grogu at the forefront, it will be the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker in lots of Jedi action. Speaking of Anakin Skywalker, a new TV spot trailer for the upcoming Disney Plus Star Wars show seemingly confirms what fans have been hoping for since the show’s announcement.

During the ABC presentation of the Ms. Marvel show, originally shown as an exclusive on Disney Plus, a new TV spot advertising the Ahsoka series premiered during commercials. But Star Wars fans got to hear something very exciting during the TV spot which may have confirmed some speculation about what we’ll see during the series. The voice of Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen, is heard giving a short monologue directed at the Togruta Jedi apprentice. Anakin talks about his responsibility as a master to Ahsoka and what she will face during the time of the Clone Wars, giving some words of encouragement as the TV spot comes to an end.

Throughout the TV spot trailer, we get to see new looks at some of the scenes already shown in previous trailers. Some of the new footage gives another peek at characters like Baylan Skoll and his apprentice Shin Hati. The two engage in lightsaber combat with Ahsoka herself and familiar Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren. Whatever the context might be for these fights appears to be something very important that brings Ahsoka and Sabine together during the series. In addition, the TV spot also shows more clips of Hera Syndulla and Chopper.

While this new trailer does show more, it’s the voiceover from Anakin that has the Star Wars community excited. Rumors have caused fans to speculate about seeing flashbacks to The Clone Wars during the Ahsoka series, with appearances of Anakin and Ahsoka together in some fashion. A shot of Hayden’s Anakin from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is shown at the very beginning, as well as a clip of Darth Vader from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Lucasfilm has yet to confirm if Anakin Skywalker will be present in the Ahsoka series, despite some leaks from the merchandise of the show, all but confirming Hayden’s involvement.

From the sound of it in the TV spot, we just might get to see Anakin Skywalker in full form during The Clone Wars with Ahsoka at his side. Whether that comes from flashbacks or not is anyone’s guess. There may be more surprises in store for Star Wars fans as we get closer to the release of Ahsoka on Disney Plus, with a two-episode premiere on August 23rd, 2023.
