Marvel’s Avengers Version Of Black Panther Gets A Cool Statue

T’Challa may be the last great thing to happen to the MCU. He certainly was the only good thing to happen to Marvel’s Avengers. Remember? It was the game that Eidos shelved Dues Ex for. The game launched with Spider-Man being a Playstation-exclusive figure, and within a couple of weeks, the player base was deader than Edgar Allen Poe. Even though the main game was crap, the War For Wakanda DLC was a good reason to reinstall.

To celebrate T’Challa saving a game from being totally forgotten, PCS has announced a new statue based on Black Pather’s appearance in the game. It’s a mix between classic Black Panther and the MCU, like many other characters in the 2020 video game. The artists over at Crystal Dynamics made the best of both worlds, that’s for sure.

The statue is 1:3 scale and measures over 36″ tall. T’Challa’s thrown is immaculate, featuring lots of Wakanda-inspired detail. The King can be displayed either masked or unmasked. A price has not been announced yet, but I’d speculate this will be over $1k. You can join the RSVP list over at Sideshow.

The Black Panther 1:3 Scale Statue measures 37.61” tall and 22.6” wide and 17.43″ deep as the stoic King T’Challa plants his Vibranium spear firmly beside him in the Wakandan throne room. His ornate golden seat is detailed with beautiful Wakandan aesthetics, blending Afrofuturistic design with traditional colors and patterns. A shield emblem and panther sigil adorn the back and front of the throne, giving Black Panther the blessings of the goddess Bast.

The Black Panther Statue is fully sculpted to capture all the unique details of his in-game appearance. His Vibranium-enhanced suit features numerous textures across his muscled physique to protect the warrior king in battle. This video game statue also includes two portraits — one masked portrait and one unmasked portrait — offering collectors multiple display options.
