Labyrinth’s Jareth, Sarah, and Hoggle Action Figures Are Here!

Plastic Meatball has officially launched Wave 1 of its retro-inspired 3.75″ tall Labyrinth action figures. This comes more than a year after the figures were announced alongside the since-released Time Bandits toys. The first wave of figures includes Sarah, Hoggle, and Jareth in his bulge revealing throne room outfit. Slap that baby. Make him free for $14.99 each!

Plastic Meatball has captured precisely what I expected 1980s-styled action figures from Labyrinth would look like. In fact, I was very disappointed as a kid that the movie didn’t have more merchandise. Not a single action figure was made when Jim Henson’s film first hit theatres in 1986. The only thing I can remember finding which was officially licensed was a small yellow packet of gum from Topps.

From experience, I can tell you that orders placed from Plastic Meatball usually take about two weeks to ship out.

Which characters should make it into Wave 2? A deluxe-size Ludo figure? Sir Didymus? I hope we get a five-pack with interchangeable parts of all five of the Fiery. Of course, we’ll need Jareth in all his various outfits, hopefully with his owl form. Each Jareth should include a different goblin. Dream Sarah should come with the knockers.

Who knows if and when we’ll get another wave. I’m still waiting on Time Bandits’ second wave to be announced. Given that Plastic Meatball isn’t a powerhouse like McFarlane Toys or Hasbro, we may be waiting a while until more toys are announced.
