‘Fire in His Fingertips’ Is Getting An English Dub

‘Fire in His Fingertips: A Flirty Fireman Ravishes Me with His Smoldering Gaze’ is a romantic manga series created by Tanishi Kawano. It was published by the Japanese company Suiseisha for their ‘Screamo’ magazine. The animation studio Studio Hōkiboshi picked up the series for an anime adaptation titled ‘Fire in His Fingertips: My Childhood Friend is a Firefighter’ that saw a 2019 first season and a 2021 second season that ran for sixteen episodes. Ascendent Animation announced that they had acquired the rights to an English dub.
The Anime New Network revealed the cast in a news report. The English voice cast includes Amanda Parker, Eli Brennan, Zack Maher, Nicholas Andrew Louie, Brittany Lauda, Rochelle Chiang, Kim Gasiciel, Sean Chiplock, and Natalie Van Sistine.
Ascendent Animation announced it on social media:

Wikipedia describes the synopsis as follows,
“Ryo Fujihashi, a 24-year-old office worker, is childhood friends with Souma Mizuno, a firefighter. She plans on setting him up with a co-worker from her office, but she assumes the reason why their dates fail is because of his womanizing ways. When Souma saves her when her apartment catches on fire, he offers her a place to stay. Ryo later learns that he has been in love with her for a long time.”
The “complete version” Japanese cast stars Ion Momoyama, Margarine Tengu, Kinniku Ii, Yū Asagi, Ringo Aoba, Kiiro Tsukino, Shiu Kase, Haru Amano, and Nerine Akimoto. The first season of the show is produced by Mika Emoto and Spicy Saburou with Toshihiro Watase working as a director. The second season is directed by Toshihiro Watase, produced by Mika Emoto, and written by Eeyo Kurosaki.
The first season of the anime ran from July 8, 2019 to September 1, 2019 with the second season July 5, 2021 to August 23, 2021 on Tokyo MX.
