Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was originally planned to be based on the Star Wars Original Trilogy, according to a recent interview with former Disney Imagineer J. Daniel Jenkins who worked on the land. Things changed when CEO Bob Iger decided to switch to the sequel trilogy after seeing the dailies for The Force Awakens. Add in the rumored budget cuts and time crunch for Imagineering, it’s its easy to see how Galaxy’s Edge became Disney’s “Billion Dollar Blunder.”
