We have a look at the upcoming Monster High Skullector “Corpse Bride” Emily doll thanks to @monsterhighretro on Instagram!
2025 is the 20th anniversary of “The Corpse Bride” so it’s fitting.
Of course, let me preface this by saying that Mattel has not 100% confirmed this, so it is possible that it is not the actual doll or final design. I want to be clear about that.
Monsterhighretro said @djeicollectibles sent them the images.
That being said, this version of her is cute. My daughter liked her. I know a lot of people really wanted this character as a doll!
Some are saying that the doll looks “cheaper” than what they were expecting, though.
Others are sad that Victor isn’t included as well. Since they are doing the Beetlejuice set as a two-pack and the Hocus Pocus set was a three-pack, they probably wanted to go with a single doll this time. Victor would have been nice, though.

Emily, aka the Corpse Bride, comes in the slide-open box.
The first thing my daughter got excited about was her Maggot earring!
Some do not like the doll’s face. I get it is different from the original, but they still need to get the G1 look in there, so I don’t hate it.
They also took some liberties with the dress, but I honestly don’t think it’s a deal breaker. The dress does flare out, unlike the original design. I do like that they included the torn bodice and exposed ribs in the design.
Cleosnilee added this amazing photo as well.
The butterflies added to the design are a nice touch. I wouldn’t have thought of that.
This doll will be available sometime this summer; many are thinking it will be released in August. The price will likely be somewhere around $60-$65.
Anything can change.
