The video game developers at Ubisoft and the streaming service Netflix announced that will be collaborating on three news mobile games including one based on the fan-favorite ‘Assassin’s Creed,’ to be released along with a live-action television series. The other video games in development were announced as a new survival game based in the ‘Valiant Hearts’ universe and another entry in the “hack-and-slash combat” game series ‘The Mighty Quest.’

“Netflix and Ubisoft are announcing plans to create three mobile games from some of the world’s most beloved game franchises to Netflix, starting in 2023. First announced today at Ubisoft’s annual digital event Ubisoft Forward, the three games will expand on the Valiant Hearts, Mighty Quest and Assassin’s Creed universes, and will be available exclusively on mobile to Netflix members around the world with no ads or in-app purchases,” Netflix said on their website.

Netflix Vice President of Games Mike Verdu said in a statement, “We’re thrilled to work with Ubisoft, whose track record creating memorable worlds for fans is unmatched.” He added, “This partnership will provide our members with exclusive access to some of the most exciting game franchises as we continue to build a catalog of great mobile games for our members around the world.”

Ubisoft Chief Mobile Officer Jean-Michel Detoc echoed those sentiments.

“As we continue to create great experiences on all platforms, we’re glad to be partnering with such an innovative and creative partner as Netflix,” he said. “I believe that this partnership will be a great opportunity for Netflix members to further explore our worlds and universes on mobile.”

The live-action ‘Assassin’s Creed’ is still looking for a showrunner though it will be executive produced by Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik of Ubisoft Film & Television. The deal with Netflix includes not just one series, but multiple shows and animated series.
