Toxic Crusaders Wave 3 Brings Toon Toxie and Junkyard

The hideously deformed superheroes and villains from Tromaville are back in the third wave of Ultimates action figures from Super7. The Toxic Crusaders, including Toxie and Junkyard, are joined by one of Dr. Killemoff’s Radiation Rangers.
Yes, this is not Toxie’s first time in the toyline. However, this version of Toxie is modeled after his in-show appearance rather than the Playmates toy. If you missed out on the original, this one does come with that one’s accessories, including two retro heads themed after the Playmates toyline: one with and one without the headband.
Each figure is priced at $55; the intended release date is in the Summer of 2023. In addition, the figures come with various interchangeable parts and accessories similar to their retro counterparts.

Sadly the 1990s cartoon series didn’t last long, and the toyline didn’t fare much better. It was odd that the toys weren’t better received as they were on a scale with the Playmates’ much more popular line: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The figures were amazingly detailed and had cool gimmicks like slime and glow-in-the-dark parts. Oh, well.
