Thor, Black Widow, The Thing, and Green Goblin Enter The Retro Collection

The Kenner line of 3.75 Retro Marvel Legends action figures is about to get four more iconic heroes and a villain. Coming later this year, Thor, Black Widow, Thing, and Green Goblin will join the toyline. Each figure has just under ten points of articulation and sometimes an accessory or two.
This latest batch of Marvel Legends Retro figures will arrive via Hasbro Pulse around September 1st of this year. The entire set can be pre-ordered for $87.99. The reason for the increased price is because this assortment includes (2) Thors and (2) Things along with Symbiote Spider-Man and Black Panther.
They’ll probably be around $9.99 to $13.99 when they appear on store shelves.

This line is limited when it comes to accessories. The Silver Surfer’s board and now Black Widow’s crossbow are some of the most significant extras I’ve seen packed in so far. Goblin’s glider is smaller than I expected, but at least he comes with his satchel. Unfortunately, there are no pumpkin bombs.
I will give Hasbro credit for making a more budget-friendly line for those of us who have kids. Unfortunately, the regular Legends line isn’t made for children and all the abuse their toys take. The Retro figures, on the other hand, are very durable. I’m pretty sure my daughter’s Spider-Man figure has been run over by the Batmobile a few hundred times so far, and he has yet to lose or break a limb.
I hope that Hasbro makes a toy line based on the 1960s Spider-Man cartoon one day. The designs, thanks to Ralph Bakshi, were memorable and have since lived on in meme form.
