‘The Woman Called Fujiko Mine’ Dub Announced For HiDive Streaming Service

HiDive had previously announced that they had acquired the streaming rights to the gentlemen thief anime Lupin the III and his numerous spin-offs including ‘The Woman Called Fujiko Mine.’ HiDive now made the announcement that they would compliment the spin-off by adding the English dubbed version on their platform on March 8, 2022.
“She’s the one person who could give Lupin III a run for his money (and has several times). Her name is Fujiko Mine and she stars in her very own spin-off series courtesy of director Sayo Yamamoto (Michiko & Hatchin) and writer Mari Okada (O Maidens in Your Savage Season),” they said.
The dub cast includes Michelle Ruff (The Promised Neverland), Sonny Strait (Cased Closed), Christopher Sabat (Dragon Ball Z), Mike McFarland (Rebuild of Evangelion), Richard Epcar (Bleach), Josh Grelle (Initial D), Bill Jenkins (Joker Game), Kent Williams (Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood), Jerry Russell (Wolf Children), and Stephanie Sheh (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya).

HiDive describes the synopsis as follows,
“She’s a thief. A killer. A saint and a scandal. She’s whatever you need her to be to get the job done. She’s walking seduction, with an insatiable itch for the priceless and a fetish for mischief. She takes your breath away to get what she wants. She takes everything else just because she can. It’s all in a night’s work for the woman called Fujiko Mine. She’s the slinky, sultry thread that holds Lupin III’s crew together — and this is the heist that started it all.”
‘The Woman Called Fujiko Mine’ is produced by Naoki Iwasa, Toshio Nakatani, and Yu Kiyozono for Japanese animation production company TMS Entertainment. Naruyoshi Kikuchi composed the music for the anime with Shinichirō Watanabe serving as the music producer. It ran for thirteen episodes between April 4, 2012, and June 27, 2012.
