Sentai Releasing Five Blu-Ray Anime Titles In February

Sentai Filmworks announced that they are bringing five new titles to their home video Blu-ray releases. From gamer survival stories to tragic romances to comedies, fans of these releases will be able to add them to their DVD collection.

They announced the titles on their website:

Buntarou Hojo is great at adapting stories for his school’s drama club, but he’s coming up blank when planning his future. Then inspiration strikes when the school’s oddest girl, Sayuki Kuroda, approaches him in the men’s room with a proposition… and no, not that kind! Instead, this is Sayuki’s strange way of inviting him to a date that turns out to be a job interview for helping her develop a bishoujo video game! It sounds a bit out there, but then, so is Sayuki. Suddenly things start to happen, as Buntarou’s best bud Atomu and their hyper-aspiring actress pal Yuka are pulled into the project, along with two more female classmates, artist Uguisu and programmer Teruha. Now they’ll all have to rise to the top of their game to turn Sayuki’s dream into a reality in GIRLS BEYOND THE WASTELAND!

Akuto Sai planned on becoming a priest, but the Oracle that Constant Magic Academy uses instead of aptitude tests had an entirely different idea. Now he’s been prophesied to become the Demon King, and no one will believe that he’s really a nice guy! So, the nice ninja girl he likes wants to eliminate him, there’s a female android living in his dorm’s closet spying on him, plus a witch lusting after his powers… And every time Akuto tries to do something to disprove the Oracle’s judgement, things get even worse and girls keep losing their clothes in the process. But you know what they say about chicks digging the bad boys? It’s apparently true, because those same girls all somehow seem to keep ending up in the rapidly swelling harem of the boy who will become DEMON KING DAIMAO!

Sometimes all it takes to change your life forever is a chance encounter. Since the death of his mother, Tomoya has distanced himself from his abusive father and seems on a path of self-destruction. Nagisa’s poor health has left her a year behind in school, but she longs to restart the now disbanded Drama Club. In an impulsive moment, Tomoya agrees to help her and they soon find themselves joined by others in desperate need of support and emotional healing. Join the Club and meet the ambitious Tomoyo, who dreams of becoming class president; Kotomi, a troubled genius with a secret past; and the mysterious Fuko, whose disassociation with the world is so severe that she seems to be fading away as the sentimental, the surreal and the supernatural merge together in the acclaimed anime classic CLANNAD!

After being kidnapped as a child, Daisuke Dojima became obsessed with the words of the enigmatic woman who rescued him. Convinced that he is destined to protect his friends, he’s focused on that prediction to the point of alienating his classmates. Then the entire prefecture of Tokyo where he lives, Shibuya, is suddenly ripped through the fabric of time to an apocalyptic future where humanity is waging a desperate battle against the mysterious Revisions. Attacked by mechanical monsters, Daisuke and his friends are saved by Milo, the woman who rescued him before, who reveals that Daisuke and his classmates have the unique qualifications to pilot special mechas called String Puppets. Now the teenagers must become warriors, holding the line of battle while Milo’s organization struggles to find a way to restore Shibuya in time and finally defeat the REVISIONS!

Why did Takagi decide to start teasing Nishikata? Why did it take so long for him to realize that he liked her not-so-subtle attentions? It’s hard to say, but it’s clear that they were dancing around each other for quite a while before they could admit how they really felt. And now they’re taking care of a little one together! Okay, it’s a kitten, and it’s just until they can find its mother, but it’s still a lot of responsibility. It’s also one more way to learn about each other as they approach the end of their last summer in junior high. And yes, there’ll be more than just teasing… Whether it’s just catching fireflies or going to big festivals, it’s going to be a summer to remember in TEASING MASTER TAKAGI-SAN: THE MOVIE!

The titles will be released between February 7, 2023, to February 28, 2023. strives to be an apolitical, balanced and based pop culture news outlet.
