Marvel Comics announced plans for a new series set around the Gwen Stacy Spider-Verse character Ghost Spider, also known as Spider-Gwen. In this new limited-run sequel, the hero will be battling an army of clones created by one of her worst adversaries.
“Fresh off of SPIDER-GWEN: GWENVERSE, which introduced exciting heroic versions of Ghost-Spider from throughout the Multiverse, Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 will headline a sequel limited series—but this time around, instead of meeting new allies, she’ll be confronted by dangerous new foes,” Marvel said on their website.
They added, “Written by Emily Kim (SILK, TIGER DIVISION) and drawn by Kei Zama (EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE, MARVEL’S VOICES: IDENTITY), SPIDER-GWEN: SHADOW CLONES will turn Ghost-Spider’s life upside down as she’s targeted by clones of herself based on Spidey’s greatest villains! Over the course of five daring issues, readers will see the debuts of a host of new Gwen-villains, all once again designed by comics visionary Peach Momoko!”
Marvel also released the first images for the cover:
Emily Kim said of the series, “I was a little nervous taking on Spider-Gwen because she’s such an iconic hero.”
But the rich story premise and fantastic team has made the process a blast. I’ve quickly fallen in love with Gwen and her unique voice and am excited for people to see how she handles a crazy slew of Gwen clones,” she continued.
Marvel Comics promises this universe’s version of Doc Ock, Sandman, Vulture, and others will appear, but they look rather strange.
Set on Earth-65, this universe features Gwen Stacy becoming the friendly neighborhood web-slinger instead of her boyfriend Peter Parker. As a result of wanting to help her, Parker accidentally turns into the lizard and tragically dies during a confrontation with Ghost Spider. She was featured in the film ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.’
The first trailer for the action film ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ dropped on the internet, showing the direction that the franchise is taking with star Keanu Reeves returning to take on his enemies.
From the teaser, we learn that Wick is on a mission to clear his name and escape the criminal world he belongs to, but he must face several opponents to do so. We see him do battle with a variety of weapons, taking on some of the strongest assassins in the world.
Deadline described the plot as, “John Wick (Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.”
The movie is set to be released on March 24, 2023.
You can watch the trailer below:
Chad Stahelski is returning to direct the movie with Shay Hatten and Michael Finch handling the script.
The movie also stars Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, Ian McShane,
“There’s a sequence—hopefully, knock on wood, in John Wick 4, the opening sequence. John Wick is back in the desert on a horse. I’m going to hopefully be able to fast-gallop and run,” Reeves said of the film in an interview with Esquire. “I love John Wick movies! They’re fun,” he added, describing going to see the movie with an audience. “I wanted to be with an audience, because I didn’t know if I would get to see it again, or if another one would happen. I wanted to soak it in, to see it on the big screen—these movies are made for the big screen. We got popcorn—you gotta have popcorn. Some Peanut M&M’s. Sweet and savory. Coca-Cola.”
As previously reported by Clownfish, Reeves will also return as John Wick in the spin-off film ‘Ballerina,’ though the extent of his involvement is currently unknown.
‘Alien: Covenant’ director James Cameron is making a splash with the upcoming science fiction sequel ‘Avatar: The Way of Water,’ a follow-up to his 2009 movie. The director recently spoke about the sequels and said that his planned five-film franchise may become a trilogy if things do not go as planned.
“The goal is to tell an extremely compelling story on an emotional basis,” ‘The Terminator’ director told Total Film. “I would say the emphasis in the new film is more on character, more on story, more on relationships, more on emotion. We didn’t spend as much time on relationship and emotion in the first film as we do in the second film, and it’s a longer film, because there’s more characters to service. There’s more story to service.”
He said, “Above all, however, The Way Of Water is a family story. This is because, 14 years after falling in love, Jake and Neytiri are now the proud parents of five children. “People say, ‘Oh my God, a family story from Disney? Just what we want…’ This isn’t that kind of family story,”
The first ‘Avatar’ remained the highest-grossing film in the world for nearly a decade, maintaining its lead through several re-releases, even retaking the title from 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’ thanks to release in Communist China.
Should this upcoming sequel fail, Cameron has stated his planned five-part story will have to be condensed into three movies.
“The market could be telling us we’re done in three months, or we might be semi-done, meaning: ‘OK, let’s complete the story within movie three, and not go on endlessly’, if it’s just not profitable,” he continued. “We’re in a different world now than we were when I wrote this stuff…”
Cameron added, “It’s the one-two punch – the pandemic and streaming. Or, conversely, maybe we’ll remind people what going to the theatre is all about. This film definitely does that.”
The movie is set to be released in the United States on December 16, 2022.

‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is heading to theaters in March 2023 with actor Keanu Reeves returning as the titular hero, albeit with nine fingers. This will not be the only time he returns, the franchise is getting a spin-off movie titled ‘Ballerina.’
Collider reports that “Keanu Reeves is currently in Prague and set to reprise his role as John Wick in the John Wick spinoff film starring Ana de Armas. This exciting report comes on the heels of the announcement that the Ballerina film will also see Ian McShane return to the franchise as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel. It is not yet clear if Reeves’ reprisal will be a cameo, or if he will have a larger part in the overarching plot of Ballerina.”
‘Ballerina’ is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten with ‘John Wick’ creator Chad Stahelski acting as a producer on the film. Stahelski directed the first three films and will return for a fourth.
The film is being made by Thunder Road Films and will be distributed by Lionsgate with pre-production beginning in Prague.
Initially, Unity Phelan was set to reprise her role from ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ as the “Ballerina,” but she had to depart filming and was replaced by ‘Blonde’ star Ana de Armas.
Reeves expressed his excitement for the John Wick franchise in an interview with Esquire.
“There’s a sequence—hopefully, knock on wood,” he said. “… in John Wick 4, the opening sequence. John Wick is back in the desert on a horse. I’m going to hopefully be able to fast-gallop and run.”
Coca-Cola.”
‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ is written by Michael Finch and Shay Hatten.
‘Minimata’ star Johnny Depp raised eyebrows in a short appearance at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 where the actor struts through the woods to show off one of the fashion pieces.
Entertainment Weekly reports, “The actor appears approximately 20 minutes into the show, which premiered on Prime Video this week. He emerges from behind a tree, wearing a long, loose-fitting jacket with matching dark pants. He grins to the camera with an array of necklaces draped over his checkered V-neck sweater to the sound of Outkast’s 2001 single ‘So Fresh, So Clean.'”
“Depp’s spotlight lasts for about 40 seconds as he proceeds to walk through an assemblage of dancers. However, it did not go unnoticed by the masses,” they added.
You can watch the clip of the appearance below:
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star previously had a cameo at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards as the astronaut saying, “You know what? I needed the work.”
Amazon Studios describes the event as follows,
“A seductive fashion fever dream, this year’s show blends Emmy award-winning choreography, style, and music with the hypnotic essence of nocturnal nature. The trailblazing event features performances by global musical artists Anitta, Burna Boy, Don Toliver, and Maxwell, and special appearances from Ángela Aguilar, Avani Gregg, Bella Poarch, Cara Delevingne, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Kornbread, Lara Stone, Lilly Singh, Marsai Martin, Precious Lee, Rickey Thompson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Simu Liu, Taraji P. Henson, Taylour Paige, Winston Duke, Zach Miko, and many more, all wearing the newest Savage X Fenty looks…”
Both Johnny Depp and Rihanna were involved in high-profile court cases where they alleged they were victims of domestic violence by former partners.
Rihanna launched the Savage X Fenty Show in 2018 with the first Savage X Fenty Show took place at New York Fashion Week. The first television special premiered on September 20, 2019, with Volume 2.
Possibly the best figure in this line, aside from Wonder Man, is Yelena Belova’s Black Widow. Not only does the figure look cool, but she comes with many accessories, including multiple firearms, effects parts, a belt, and a gun holster. Molecule Man is the lamest figure in the bunch because the character’s face has no expression whatsoever. He’s just looking at you. At least Wonder Man has his usual smirk, and Strucker is gritting his teeth. Come on, Hasbro. If these figures will be bare-bones, at least give them some personality.
The odd one out in this announcement is Extremis Iron Man. He does not include a build-a-figure part and is super lite on accessories, yet he is still priced at $24.99. Expect these figures to ship out by June 1st, 2023.
So, what’s the build-a-figure this time? Puff Adder. I’d totally forgotten about this serpent-themed villainous mutant. He’s a no-frills figure, with a standard buck where the only genuinely original part is his head sculpt.
Again, Hasbro is forcing collectors to buy into the idea that windowless boxes are somehow a good thing. Not only does it limit the display possibilities, but it’s impossible to guarantee that the figure is not only MIB but if it’s even the right character, to begin with. Furthermore, the Legends’ price is steady at $24.99, and I doubt we will see it come down any time soon. So even with less plastic and the noticeable dip in quality over the past two years, we’re continuing to pay a premium to Hasbro.

In collaboration with developer Gearbox Software, we present to you the Wonderlands Minis! Based on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, go on epic adventures with your favorite in-game characters. Whether you shake your booty like Mushroom, snap like a Mimic, derp out like Skeep, glam-up like Butt Stallion, or be in total control like Tina – bring the world of the Wonderlands into your homes with these mini-figures.
I liked Tiny Tina’s character in Borderlands 2, but she started to wear out her welcome by the third game. The whole Harley Quinn gimmick can only last so long when the character’s sole purpose is to be quirky. There were fragments of a deeper story to tell with Tina as she dealt with the death of Roland, but by the time Borderlands 3 rolled around, it was back to Tina being a nonsensical quip machine.
Check out the review for GmanLives if you’ve been thinking about picking up the standalone game:

You will have a difficult time finding a game character that looks as cute and cuddly as Nintendo’s beloved pink puffball Kirby. One of the best parts of a Kirby game is how easygoing it can feel to play through, despite having some challenges present to keep you on your toes. This is exactly what you find in Kirby and the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch. Only this time, Kirby is taken out of Dream Land and into a world that looks reminiscent of our own. But whether in a fantasy world or a real one, the charming nature of Kirby is felt throughout the entire experience, and it’s fantastic.
The biggest difference for this Kirby adventure is how the gameplay is taken into 3D space. While not the first time we’ve had a Kirby title play like this, it’s the first we’ve seen done on a home console in a long time. Moving Kirby around feels good and echoes the simple controls of the 2D-style games we’ve had in the series up to now. Kirby’s ability to suck up enemies and copy their powers is here too, allowing you to wield all types of magical powers and abilities to get around obstacles and groups of baddies. It’s easy to understand, quick to pick up, and fun to really get into throughout the course of this adventure.
At the same time, the plot of this game has Kirby pulled out of Dream Land and lost in a place called New World. In truth, the name of this place is as silly as it is obvious, but that is neither here nor there. Both Kirby and the Waddle Dee army are stranded in New World and hunted by a new enemy called the Beast Pack. These are furry critters that reside in New World, kidnapping the Waddle Dees for a mysterious purpose.
As usual, Kirby characters always have a cutesy charm and goofy demeanor to them, so while the Beast Pack isn’t intimidating, they do fit well with the status quo of any Kirby game. Enemies you encounter later in the game get progressively more sinister, but the cuteness is still always there.
Kirby needs to rescue all of the Waddle Dees hidden throughout New World, which in turn can help him build up the Waddle Dee town that’s been set up as a refuge. This town acts as the hub of the game, which allows you to do a variety of things. You can power up Kirby’s copy abilities, unlock collectibles to marvel at, and even partake in challenges at the arena. The catch however is that you can’t do many things until you rescue enough Waddle Dees to build up the town more. Doing so will unlock new locations to visit in the town, but also progress the plot in ways that become more clear as you finish stages.
Speaking of stages, there are a lot of locations you’ll visit, and even more Waddles Dees to rescue. Finishing challenges as you progress to the end of a stage, as well as completing boss battles and discovering secrets, will help you obtain more and more Waddle Dees. There’s a wide range of areas from forests, beaches, and industrial locations, to much more cosmic places that appear as the plot thickens. But getting around isn’t simply jumping and running through the game’s open environments.
Kirby can now use Mouthful Mode to suck up objects and gain abilities that can change up parts of the environment, or increase his powers to battle enemies. Sucking up a car can let Kirby drive around with great speed while using a traffic cone will allow him to smash open something to reveal hidden secrets on the stage.
There are a number of powers that all have their unique applications, although it can get to a point where they only appear conveniently when the stage obstacles require it. You won’t be roaming around with cone-head Kirby the entire time, unfortunately. But the later portions of the game start to blend together the use of mouthful mode transformations into clever and interesting obstacles. That’s when they’re used at their best and make traversing the stages much more fun.
A few other neat features that round off Kirby and the Forgotten Land include the mini-games you unlock in the Waddle Dee Town, as well as local co-op. A second player can take control of Bandana Waddle Dee at any time, dropping in and out of gameplay, to help Kirby get through a stage. Having a second person can make certain challenges easier, especially boss battles. Both players can work together in bringing down groups of enemies with their abilities, even though Bandana Waddle Dee can’t use copy abilities or Mouthful Mode.
The game also doesn’t make anything more difficult when you bring in another player, so things may be too easy in some cases. But it’s a lot of fun running around the open areas with Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee. The small interactions that the two have together outside of cutscenes are exceptionally cute at the best of times.
The mini-games are short and sweet. You’ll spend only a brief time completing them to reach new high scores to share online. The one exception to this is the Challenge Arena, which lets you replay boss fights from the main story and take on newer, tougher challenge battles.
To get the complete true ending, you’ll need to finish all the Arena battles, but the reward may not be worth the struggle for some players. The final stretch of challenges can be endurance battles that push you to the limit against multiple boss encounters. It’s not impossible, but definitely a lot more of a challenge than the rest of the game.
Small nitpicks aside, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great addition to any Nintendo Switch collection. The game is fun to play, either alone or with a co-op friend, and has a lot of content to get through. For a new kind of adventure for Nintendo’s pink puffball, this is a solid addition to the Kirby legacy for long-time fans. It’s quite possibly one of the best, if not cutest, Nintendo Switch games you can pick up.
