New ReAction Movie Monsters Figures Announced During Boodega

Super7’s Boodega kicked off today by announcing several new Universal and cult classic monster ReAction figures. Not only that, there will be new Misfits merchandise, too!
A blue glow-in-the-dark Metaluna Mutant from This Island Earth is first on the list. It was a terrible film but gave us one of science fiction’s most memorable alien designs. The Mutant with the suspiciously shaped cranium is $20.
The Creature From The Black Lagoon, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, and Wolf Man also get the glowy treatment along with funky coloring and packaging. Each of these Universal Monsters will be $20.
The Creature also gets two other ReAction figures, one with a broad body, the other is a bit slimmer. Unfortunately, these two do not have the glow-in-the-dark feature. Those guys will be $20 each.
The company is releasing a retro soft vinyl figure case for those of you who have been collecting Super7’s Misfits ReAction variants. Yep, just like those Kenner Star Wars days! Except this case comes with a Fiend! The case will be $50.

Aaron and Josh of Super7 channel their inner spooky selves to reveal what Super7’s virtual Boodega has to shock and horrify you with this year! The Super7 Boodega opens its virtual doors on Friday (10/15) at 10:00AM PT at Super7.com!

There are other new figures, too. These are from Super7’s The Worse and Killer Bootlegs toy lines. Check them out here. I’ve not been following those lines of figures. So, I’m not exactly sure what the story is with them.
What do you think about these new additions to the ReAction series of retro figures? This year we’ve seen a lot of companies produce Universal Monster toys. Is the market getting too saturated with the same four horror icons? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
