Netflix has announced that the action thriller series ‘The Night Agent’ is returning for new missions with a season two renewal. Made in partnership with Sony Pictures Television, its debut season features ten episodes.
“Netflix renews The Night Agent for a second season consisting of 10 episodes,” the streaming service said in a statement. “The Night Agent, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television Studios, premiered on March 23, 2023 and immediately reached Netflix’s Top 10. The series debuted in the #1 spot on the English TV List with 168.71M hours viewed, making it the most viewed title this week. The action-thriller ranks #3 for premiere week of viewing across all Season 1 TV and appeared in the Top 10 in 93 countries.”
Showrunner Shawn Ryan expressed his excitement for the upcoming season saying, “The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share The Night Agent with the world. To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix. We couldn’t be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on Season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans.”
No release date has been confirmed as of the writing of this article.

‘The Night Agent’ is the fifth novel from Quirk. His debut book ‘500’ won at the Strand Critics and ITW Thriller awards for the best first novel.
