‘Gal and Dino’ English Dub Cast Revealed

‘My Roomie Is a Dino’ is a slice-of-life comedy manga written by Moriko Mori and illustrated by Cota Tomimura. It is published by Kodansha, who also handled publication in North America. Its popularity led to an anime adaption titled ‘Gal and Dino’ produced by the Japanese animation studios Space Neko Company and Kamikaze Douga. The show was written and directed by Jun Aoki which ran for 12 episodes in 2020. Now, Funimation has announced that they have gained the license to produce an English audio version. With the recent merger with Crunchyroll, it is likely the anime will migrate there.
“The dino-mic duo is back! We’re pleased to announce that all 12 episodes of absurd comedy anime Gal & Dino‘s English dub will be launching on Funimation,” they said on their website. “Moving in with us is Macy Anne Johnson (Show by Rock!! Stars!!) as Kaede, Anairis Quiñones (WONDER EGG PRIORITY) as Yamada and Yuri Lowenthal (Code Geass) as Shouta and Shouta Aoi…”
The rest of the cast includes Wayne Grayson (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters) as the narrator, Jonathan Fahn (Battle Athletes Victory) as Kazetani, Doug Stone (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin) as Mieharu, and Andra Bruce as the Landlady.
Andy Roth will serve as the voice director for the series.

MyAnimeList lists the synopsis as follows,
“Wasted from the night before, Kaede wakes up the next morning to find herself at home with a dinosaur she had brought along with her. The two start living together as an odd pair consisting of a typical gal girl and a mute dinosaur going about daily lives. Although not the most experienced paleontologist, Kaede begins to learn more about her new prehistoric roommate through a series of comedic gags and adventures.”
‘Gal & Dino’ also had a live-action adaption in 2020 that was written by Kotaro Sudo and starring Nana Yashiro as Kaede. It had three episodes that aired on Tokyo MX.
