Fantasy Manga ‘The Tale of the Outcasts’ To Get Anime Adaption

Created by Makoto Hoshino, ‘Nokemono-tachi no Yoru,’ known in English as ‘The Tale of the Outcasts,’ is a supernatural historical fantasy manga that was released by the Japanese publishing company Shogakukan and serialized in the ‘Weekly Shōnen Sunday’ magazine. It is published in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. It had its original run from August 7, 2019, to April 14, 2021 and now it is going to get an anime adaption.
“Great news for fans of fantasy with a dark and historical twist: Makoto Hoshino’s manga, The Tale of the Outcasts (known in Japan as Nokemono-tachi no Yoru), is being adapted into an anime. A teaser visual… and an official website and Twitter feed (@nokemono_anime) have been published for the series, but aside from the image illustrated by Hoshino that celebrates the announcement, no further details have yet been revealed,” Crunchyroll reports.
The author expressed his excitement for the project on social media, saying, “It is decided to animate “Night of Nokemono”! !! It is an animation of whether the author has accumulated a great deal of virtue in the previous life, or whether he has made a deal with the devil. It was a work that I wanted to draw the miracle of the encounter carefully, but the work itself was blessed with a miracle-like encounter.”
The visual was revealed on Twitter:

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the synopsis as follows,
“An engrossing new fantasy manga series in which a downtrodden orphan girl develops an unexpected friendship with a beastly immortal.
This is the story of Wisteria, an orphaned girl lost in darkness, and Marbas, an immortal being who shares her loneliness. The unlikely companions met on a quiet, uneventful night, and they set off together in search of the light. What begins as a chance meeting on the edge of the late nineteenth-century British Empire soon became a full-fledged journey to find their place in the world.”
As of the writing of this article, the manga has released eight volumes with five being translated into English with a sixth to be released in November 2022.
