Chris Pratt Teases “Woke Critics” Attacking ‘The Terminal List’

In an Instagram post, Chris Pratt decided to have fun with “woke critics” who are attacking ‘The Terminal List’ with poor reviews, specifically on the film criticism website Rotten Tomatoes. Pratt bragged about the viewership of his Prime Video action series, despite the harsh denunciation of the show.

“Chris Pratt’s new Navy thriller ‘The Terminal List’ defies woke critics’ scathing reviews to shoot up ratings chart with 1.6
BILLION minutes of streams,” the New York Post reported.

“In another post, the ‘Everwood’ star plastered a photo of Dr. Evil from the ‘Austin Powers’ franchise and noted the number of times viewers watched his show,” they continued. “‘One point six BILLLLLLLLLION minutes,’ he scribed on the meme. Nielsen reported that at least 1.6 billion 60-second moments were actually watched.”

While critics have rated the show “rotten” with a 39% (out of a 100%) rating, the audience score is much higher with a 94% rating, showing a sharp divide between viewers and film journalists.

“As it stands, this story is overlong and ploddingly told and somehow makes revenge feel bland and boring,” opined a critic from JoBlo’s Movie Network.

The viewers who took to their keyboards to overwhelmingly praise the series highlighted what they loved about it.

“How refreshing could it be to see just a good show with a solid plot and no politics inside? Well, a lot. Loved it,” wrote one.

“This is a genre that has been missing recently and thank you Amazon for giving us something to love. Great acting, engaging story, and the right level of darkness,” another wrote.

In July, Pratt wrote on Twitter about the experience of making ‘The Terminal List.’

“Surreal watching this back – over 2 years ago I pitched (The Terminal List) to (PrimeVideo). My buddy Jared Shaw brought (author Jack Carr)’s book to me & I knew that this had to be on TV It not only gave me the opportunity to grow as an actor, but as a producer as well. Thanks for watching…”

Amazon describes the synopsis as follows,

“Based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows James Reece (Chris Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves.”

The show also stars Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, JD Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder.
