AniTrendz describes the synopsis as follows,
“The story follows Yuuyu, a 15-year-old boy who can sense others’ feelings and can’t say no to requests. When he runs away from home due to his sister’s hobby, he meets Megumi Okura and is invited to the Wonder Hill amusement park. There, a group called Team Blackout plays a special game called Vanguard. Yuuyu is drawn in by the game’s powerful allure and starts making new friends along the way.”
TMS Entertainment produced an anime based on the game that ran from 2011 to 2016, which included numerous spin-offs, sequels, as well as the 2012 live-action film ‘Stand Up! Vanguard’ and an anime film.
