Serpentor Finally Joins Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Classified Series!

Hasbro

Hasbro has announced several new figures in the G.I. Joe Classified line of detailed 1/12 scale action figures. Today we’ll focus on the best two characters out of the bunch: Serpentor and Dr. Mindbender.

The 6″ tall Serpentor has several of the same accessories as his 1980s original. The biggest difference? The price. Serpentor and his Air Chariot will set you back $79.99. This is one of those rare occasions where the figure is worth the asking price. Not only does Hasbro deliver a significant update on the classic character, but the box art by Dave Rapoza is stunning. Seeing the golden snake god beating the hiss out of Cobra Commander is worth hanging on the wall.

Dr. Mindbender may be updated, but his outfit still makes him look like he’s going to appear in a KISS movie, or he should be partying with David Bowie in Studio 54. His purple pants and metal suspenders look so silly, but it all works thanks to the curly mustache and monocle. Mindbender also comes with jars and a bodiless brain! Not bad for $41.99; he also gets the Dave Rapoza treatment.

Expect these two Cobra villains to show up at the beginning of December.
