It was just confirmed that they destroyed the original Star Fox puppets — the full set of Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy made by the Godzilla Minus One FX crew for the SNES game’s wild live-action promo commercials got glued together with real fur, feathers, and natural rubber that started rotting the second it hit air, so the studio had no choice but to trash the whole batch after shooting wrapped. Yeah those iconic fuzzy bastards that defined early ’90s Nintendo marketing for a whole generation are now landfill somewhere in Japan while fans spent decades wondering where the hell they went — classic corporate move of building nostalgia props that literally couldn’t survive their own hype.
