Monster Hunter Movie BANNED in China?! CAPCOM Washes Their Hands of It!

The Monster Hunter live-action movie has been pulled from Chinese theaters after only a day due to a “racially insensitive” joke that somehow slipped past the censors. Ironic, since Tencent is helping foot the bill for this movie and it was seemingly designed to appeal to Chinese audiences. In protest, people are review bombing the Monster Hunter: World game on Steam. Meanwhile, Capcom issues a statement and is just washing their hands of the whole fiasco.
