The media is obsessed with diversity and inclusion in Kevin Smith’s upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revelation animated series for Netflix. So much so that they’re literally making a mountain out of a mole hill over the race-swapping of Andra, an OBSCURE character that hardly had any presence in Masters of the Universe media outside of a handful of comic books.
Zodac was race-swapped in 2002 and NOBODY CARED. Probably because the media wasn’t there to tell fans how awful they were if they didn’t like it.
We dissect how studios’ and directors’ words are often twisted by the media to support political biases of many bloggers… much to the series detriment. Kevin Smith doesn’t seem obsessed with diversity and inclusion in a cartoon show… but io9 is.
