Masters of the Universe: Revelation is ‘Queerbaiting’ by DESIGN?!

Is Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation “queerbaiting” by design? That would appear to be the case, according to a new interview with a Mattel exec who worked as a writer on the show. Despite Smith claiming Teela and Andra are NOT together, it would seem that the audience was lead to believe that they COULD be a couple to “see themselves” in the characters.

But will MOTU ever actually GO there? Probably not.

So which is worse? ‘Queerbaiting’ or lying to the fandom about Teela’s relationship status?

ALSO — Korra was based on Gina Carano, and Teela was based on Korra. Will animation fans’ heads explode?
