Kevin Smith isn’t having a good weekend. The blowback from Masters of the Universe: Revelation has been pretty severe, and the showrunner seems to dig himself a deeper hole with every article and livestream he does to try and mitigate the damage.
Last night’s SDCC livestream felt more like a wake for this series, as a somber Kevin Smith addressed his critics (including us!) but still deflected and dismissed most of the blame.
Comments were turned off, naturally.
The REALLY interesting takeaway was that Netflix doesn’t care if customers or angry or upset… they think they’re too big to fail, and they don’t greenlight series based on consumer interest.
