TSR Games, the original creators of Dungeons & Dragons, have announced their return to tabletop RPGs. And almost immediately, Twitter pounces. Are we surprised? Apparently TTRPG Twitter is offended that Gary Gygax’s son made a comment in an interview about how tabletop is losing the plot with disenfranchised gamers. His words were twisted, of course, and now TSR Games’ official Twitter is being bombarded with insults and low-key threats from people within the RPG “community.” When will companies STOP listening to Twitter outrage mobs?
Meanwhile, Wizards of the Coast has been ramping up its PR efforts lately. Connected? Hmmm…
