Cartoon Network showrunners don’t own their own animated shows… even if they CREATED them! Megas XLR co-creator George Krstic took to Twitter to talk about how they have no way to revive the series because Warner wrote it off as a tax loss years ago. He also doesn’t get any royalties. OUCH!
So does this mean that even popular showrunners like Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe) and Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time) don’t own their shows either? Yeah, most likely…
