It’s a bad time to be working in the LA animation industry. As strike talks continue, many animators and directors are discussing how the cartoon industry jobs are drying up and how studios like Disney and DreamWorks are outsourcing animation work overseas. This, coupled with the near death of Cartoon Network, doesn’t bode well for creators hoping to make it big in Burbank.
